Hi, I’m Yongjun Kim, an HCI researcher and interaction designer.

Currently, I work as a research intern at KAIST ASC Lab, supervised by Prof. Chang Hee Lee. My work integrates design and technology to connect people with each other and their environments, enriching sensory, emotional, and cognitive experiences.

I earned a B.F.A. in Industrial Design and a B.S. in Design Engineering from Hongik University. There, I founded and led an advised by Prof. Kyung Yun Choi. I also worked as a research assistant and developer at MIMI Lab, supervised by Prof. Dokshin Lim.

My experience includes industry collaborations with Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor, LG Electronics, and other companies. I received a Science & Technology Scholarship from the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation.

The sphere cycles through idle, integrate, connect, and enrich every 5 seconds. Click or tap any word in a group to select its shape: integrate design and technology forms an interwoven whole; connect people and environments forms connected strands; enrich sensation, emotion, and cognition forms connected diagonal infinity loops. Hover and keyboard focus highlight a group without selecting its shape. Use Tab or the left and right arrow keys to focus an action, then Enter or Space to select it. Click or tap empty space within this figure, or press Escape while focused here, to return to the sphere. After each click, the next automatic transition follows 5 seconds later. Automatic transitions are disabled when reduced motion is preferred.
